Deonna Purrazzo shares what it means to be The Virtuosa in latest promo.
Airing on Rampage, Purrazzo sit sipping a glass of wine as she shares the following words.
“I don’t think we’ve formally met yet. You’ve seen what I can do inside the squared circle. But do you know what it means to be ‘The Virtuosa’? Do you? Wrestling isn’t just a sport or an art form. It’s both, and more set to a quickening pace and a staccato beat of bodies slamming into pine, bones cracking, tendons tearing. All building towards a beautiful and violent crescendo. I like what this place has forced me to become. Because here, actions have consequences. I’m going to burn this empire down from the inside out to recreate in my own image. The Age of the Virtuosa.”
Purrazzo officially joined AEW at the start of this year. Although she did head right for Toni Storm and the AEW Women’s World Title, she felt short in achieving champion status. She has stayed in the limelight since in a high profile feud with Thunder Rosa. After a series of matches between the two, Purrazzo won the No Disqualification fight between them in June.
This promo seems to be the next chapter of The Virtuosa in AEW or is it? Purrazzo doesn’t seem to be finished with Rosa as she attacked both Rosa and Rachael Ellering on Rampage. Rosa defeated Ellering before the attack.
