The Virtuosa and now ROH Women’s World Champion Deonna Purrazzo was recently interviewed by Jose G of Sportskeeda. They spoke on topics such as the “forbidden door” and working with Mickie James. Also when Purrazzon found out that James would be in the upcoming Royal Rumble match, like many, she says she was shocked to hear.
At the end of the interview, Purrazzo was asked a few questions from the fans in a this or that type of scenario. She was asked who would like to see in the Knockouts Division between either Toni Storm or Cj Perry (formerly Lana).
Purrazzo and Storm had met under the WWE umbrella when they faced each other on NXT UK.
Purrazzo answers, “Another one of my very best friends is Toni Storm. So I’m going to say Toni Storm [is who she’d pick to join IMPACT], in terms of wanting to wrestle her. Also, in terms of, I think everything that she needs as a human, IMPACT provides. Just, yeah. I want to see her thrive in whatever she chooses to do next, whether it’s wrestling, or whether it’s not.” [h/t – Fightful]
Storm’s last match was a contender’s match against Charlotte Flair on SmackDown in December. Shortly after it was reported that she asked and was granted her release from the company. Storm is a former NXT UK Women’s Champion and won the second Mae Young Classic Tournament in 2018.
