The current and two-time Knockouts Champion, Deonna Purrazzo, has been ordered to put her title on the line this Saturday at Final Resolution. This will be an IMPACT Plus event and the last special event before the big pay-per-view Hard to Kill in January.
At Hard to Kill we will see the finals of the Knockouts Tag Team Tournament. Purrazzo and Kimber Lee had a shot at those shiny new titles tonight, but they were not able to pick up the win. This means that Rosemary & Taya Valkyrie advanced and will face the tough team of Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz in the semi-finals.
Rosemary picked up the win for her team after a double underhook slam on Lee for the pin. This was after Lee was inadvertently kicked by her own teammate.
Everything is looking up for Rosemary in particular as Purrazzo will have to defend her title against her at this Saturday’s event. After their tag team loss, Purrazzo and Lee ran into Scott D’Amore backstage. Purrazzo bit off more than she can chew as she called D’Amore a thorn in her side.
She has been upset over everything she has had to do lately. Between fighting off Su Yung, competing in the tag team tournament, and defend her Knockouts Title. D’Amore agreed that it is a lot for her to juggle, so because she lost in the tag team tournament, she is free to defend her title against Rosemary.
Purrazzo was able to regain her title at the last IMPACT Plus event, Turning Point, against Yung. Will she be able to hold onto it against Rosemary to close out the year?
Also announced has been an intergender match between Tenille Dashwood & Kaleb with a K vs. Alisha & Eddie Edwards. Dashwood and Alisha were tag partners during the Knockouts Tag Team Tournament but fell to Havok & Nevaeh in the first round. Although it was Alisha who wanted this tag team to happen, she has been preoccupied by Sami Callihan who attacked her husband recently.
Dashwood suggested a team name, “The Influencer starring Tenille Dashwood and Friends,” but Alisha didn’t want anything to do with it at the moment. This was agreed to be dealt with at a later time which gave us this match at Final Resolution.
This makes three matches involving the Knockouts at this event as it was reported earlier that The Sea Stars will be facing Havok & Nevaeh as well.
