Discussion Post: NXT 01/08/20

Tonight marks the first official show for NXT of 2020. Last week’s show was all about the year end awards and both Shayna Baszler and Dakota Kai walked away as winners.

With the new year comes a new champion. On Dec. 18, Rhea Ripley ended the 416-day reign of Baszler with a huge victory celebration that followed. NXT is advertising for tonight, “what is next” for Ripley. Could Baszler get another crack at the title, or will Ripley move on to a new challenger?
