Unforgiven 2007: Candice Michelle
Maybe it’s not a Night of Champions event, but for years Unforgiven was the September PPV and gave us plenty of incredible Diva memories. One of those was Candice’s Women’s Title defense against Beth Phoenix. Phoenix had won a Battle Royal at SummerSlam to become the number one contender for Candice’s title. Candice was certainly up against her toughest challenge yet as champion.
The brunette beauty dazzled the audience in a gold outfit with a red wing design that she looked incredible in. I personally think gold was one of Candice’s best colors to wear, and as she held the matching Women’s Championship above her head in victory, everything blended together beautifully for a perfect image. I also loved the unique cutouts in Candice’s pants. It was definitely something different.
It’s such a shame that she was injured a few weeks later. I, to this day, believe Candice would have been the next Trish Stratus.
