Diva Dirt Writers’ Choice Awards: Best Heel – Jessicka Havok

Diva Dirt presents its second annual Writers’ Choice Awards, the awards that celebrate the year in women’s wrestling, as decided by the editors and contributors of Diva Dirt. The Diva Dirt team has watched hundreds of episode of wrestling television this year, as well as hundreds of live events on DVD, additionally, we’ve followed a countless number of wrestlers over the year, and reviewed tons of matches. Now, as we come to the end of 2012, we have picked the best of the best to be awarded our Writers’ Choice blue ribbons.

Best Heel: Jessicka Havok

jessicka-havokWhat ingredients cook up the best heel in women’s wrestling right now? If you mix a pinch of black leather with a helping of machete wielding and add a few dollops of history making championship reigns, we think that would make something pretty tasty. So who fits the all-important recipe? Jessicka Havok, of course.

J-Hav was building massive momentum in 2011 after winning the WSU Spirit Championship and leading her fierce faction, the Midwest Militia, to glory in a War Games match. No one could have bet against Jessicka having an even better 2012.

On March 3rd at WSU’s 5th Anniversary show, Havok did what no one thought was possible and ended Mercedes Martinez’s three year reign as WSU Champion, beginning her own reign of terror over the promotion along with Sassy Stephie and Allysin Kay, who became Tag Team Champions.

Jessicka has managed to wreak more Havok outside of WSU, too, by taking names in the likes of NCW Femmes Fatales and SHINE, meaning no-one is safe from the vicious wrestler. Reby Sky, Mia Yim and more learned all too well what it’s like to face her wrath.

It’s safe to say that Jessicka Havok is a true triple threat of wrestling and she provides the total package. Her in-ring skills and mic work are backed up by her fearsome image and persona and she is the heel that the fans love to hate.

J-Hav’s impressive calendar year meant that had to bestow her with the ‘Best Heel’ award for the second year in a row, and if we hadn’t, well, we dread to think what she might have done!

More awards:
Most Improved: Brooke Tessmacher
Best Tag Team or Group: Midwest Militia

Best Babyface: AJ Lee

Stay tuned for more Writers’ Choice Awards throughout December.
