WWE has scrapped the planned eight-person intergender tag team match featuring Cameron, Naomi and the Bella Twins from WrestleMania 29.
Following the Brock Lesnar vs Triple H match, which finished around 10.05pm ET, the show went into a Hall of Fame recap before going into the main event. Obviously, it looks as though time constraints resulted in the axing of the match to ensure enough time for the John Cena vs The Rock main event.
The match, which was due to pit Brodus Clay, Tensai and the Funkadactyls against Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow and the Bellas, will most likely end up on tomorrow’s episode of Raw.
Nonetheless, fans — and the competitors involved — must be pretty upset.
This marks the first WrestleMania in some time without a single Divas match, intergender or otherwise. Diva appearances this evening came from AJ Lee during the Tag Team Championship match, and a stunning Trish Stratus during the Hall of Fame segment.
