A women’s Elimination Chamber match has been added to the upcoming event on Feb. 19 in Saudi Arabia. This will be the second time that a Saudi Arabia show has had two women’s matches on the card.
WWE just revealed that six women will be participating in a number one contender Elimination Chamber match to determine who will be the next woman to challenge for the Raw Women’s Title. Currently, a Raw Women’s Title Match at the event is scheduled between the champ Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Lita.
Five out of six participants have been confirmed with Rhea Ripley, Nikki A.S.H. Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, and Doudrop on the list. The sixth competitor has not been confirmed at this time and may hint at a possible return.
Per WWE.com –
Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Doudrop, and Nikki A.S.H. will battle inside the career-altering Elimination Chamber for the right to challenge the Raw Women’s Champion at WrestleMania.
Belair, Ripley, and Nikki are all former Women’s Champions. Doudrop and Morgan have also recently challenged Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Title and have come within an eyelash of unseating the champion.
Of course, whether the winner will challenge Lynch on The Grandest Stage of Them All is still contingent on whether Big Time Becks can overcome WWE Hall of Famer Lita in a one-on-one championship showdown at WWE Elimination Chamber.
The Elimination Chamber Match will begin with two Superstars in the ring and four other competitors enclosed in their respective pods. Every five minutes, a pod door will open, allowing another competitor to join the contest. This process will continue until all pods are empty. When a Superstar is pinned or submits, that Superstar is eliminated and must exit the Chamber. The last Superstar remaining will be the winner.
This will be the first women’s Elimination Chamber match since 2020 and the fourth in history as one did not take place last year. That match witnessed Shayna Baszler make a huge statement as a fresh member of the Raw women’s roster by running through the competition and went on to face Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36 for the Raw Women’s Title.
Out of the five women confirmed for this match, Liv Morgan is the only one with prior experience in the Chamber.
