It has been announced on social media that Ember Moon joins Shotzi Blackheart as the second member of Team Shotzi for WarGames. This will be the second year that women have been involved in this type of match-up. NXT TakeOver: WarGames will take place in one week on Dec. 6.
The video below shows Moon approaching Blackheart to join her. It comes as no surprise that she was added to the team as the competition, Team Candice, attacked her post-match last week. In addition, Toni Storm turned heel and joined Candice LeRae to round out her team that includes Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai.
The other two members of Team Shotzi have not been revealed, however, it will most likely be Rhea Ripley and NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai. Much like Moon suffered last week, Ripley also was the victim of an attack by Team Candice. This was after they attacked Shirai off-screen and brought her out to show Ripley what they did.
Before Ripley was laid out in the ring by LeRae and her gang, she commented on how much respect she has for Shirai after their title match the prior week. If there would be anyone other than Ripley and Shirai joining Team Shotzi it would be a surprise.
