The team of Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart defeated Marina Shafir and Zoey Stark in the first round of the women’s Dusty Classic Tag Team Tournament on 205 Live.
In her WWE debut, Zoey Stark looked great. She used her strength and power to take the fight to Blackheart and Moon at the start of the match.
Shafir kept up the pressure using her MMA background to control Moon. The barrage of offence incensed Moon who exploded into the action and turned the tide of the match.
Stark and Shafir continued to impress with some smart and heavy offence on Blackheart. Stark hit her version of the GTS named “Go to Stark”, which seemed to have the match won but Moon made the save.
Moon used this momentum to take out Stark with a flurry of offence. Moon then locked in a Crossface varition of the win.
Blackheart and Moon go on to face Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae in round two of the women’s Dusty classic.
Despite the loss, Zoey Stark looked excellent and she is already proving herself to be a great addition to the NXT women’s divison.
