Pro-Wrestling: EVE will hold a special show in honor of the recently-announced retirement of Kris Wolf. The event, set for April 26th, was announced on EVE’s Twitter account earlier today.
Kris Wolf began her career in 2014 at World Wonder Ringer Stardom, where she is a former High Speed Champion, as well as a founding member of the Oedo Tai stable. She had previously worked as a teacher in Japan, until someone suggested she try out joshi puroresu. Wolf left Stardom just under a year ago and embarked on a tour of the independent circuit, primarily in Europe. Over the last year, she became a mainstay of the women’s division in Germany’s Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw), as well as EVE.
Wolf debuted at EVE in 2017, when she competed in a tournament to crown a new EVE Champion after Rhia O’Reilly was forced to vacate the title due to injury. She was eliminated in the first round by Laura Di Matteo. Her most recent appearance was at last year’s SHEvivor Series, where she was a team leader in one of the two titular elimination matches, opposite Jamie Hayter. She was the only member of her team to score an elimination, over Charli Evans, and was the last member of her team to be eliminated, by Baynz and Nightshade.
Details on the card for the Kris Wolf Retirement Show are yet to come, though Session Moth Martina has confirmed she will be in attendance.
Kris Wolf announced her retirement last month on a YouTube livestream, citing health issues as a result of multiple concussions, including blackouts, memory loss and vision problems. She will finish out her currently scheduled tour dates and then leave the ring for good. Her retirement wasn’t Wolf’s only big news this year: in January, she announced she had married her partner, Norwegian visual artist Rosanna Vibe.
