The release of WWE 2K17 is just around the corner, and if you’re anything like us at Diva Dirt, you’re counting down the days before the big day! This post, as the title suggests, is a compilation of every little bit of information we have on the game (at least, the female oriented stuff!). So scroll below for a list of characters, entrance videos, screenshots and more!

List of characters (with entrances and overall scores)

Over the years, the annual WWE game typically came with seven or so women – including the downloadable content. However this year we’re taking a turn for the better! The guys, gals etc. over at 2K have given us a whopping total of twenty five women! And here is a look at each woman’s model, and their overall rankings (listed in order from highest to lowest overall):

*A video of every entrance in full can be seen here*

1. Trish Stratus (Overall: 87)

2. Lita (Overall: 87)

3. Alundra Blayze (Overall: 87)

4. Charlotte (Overall: 86) *Designated Women’s champion*

5. Bayley (Overall: 86)

6. Sasha Banks (Overall: 86)

7. Asuka (Overall: 85)

8. Nikki Bella (Overall: 84)

9. Natalya (Overall: 83)

10. Becky Lynch (Overall: 83)

11. Nia Jax (Overall: 83) *NXT Special Edition Pack only*

12. Paige (Overall: 80)

13. Dana Brooke (Overall: 74)

14. Brie Bella (Overall: 73)

15. Alexa Bliss (Overall: 73)

16. Naomi (Overall: 73)

17. Tamina (Overall: 73)

18. Stephanie McMahon (Overall, 73)

19. Emma (Overall: 72)

20. Alicia Fox (Overall: 72)

21. Summer Rae (Overall: 70)

22. Carmella (Overall: 70)

Carmella also has an entrance with Enzo Amore and Big Cass:

23. Eva Marie (Overall: 67)

On top of all 23 women listed above, Jacqueline and Ivory can also be played with! These two are only available either through the 2k17 Season Pass or through the one-off payment of $9.99, in which players can recreate a select few matches. Ivory and Jacqueline’s SmackDown match from 2000 is included.

Create A Superstar

In the video below, YouTuber The Revelleution explores the hairstyles available for your created women in 2k17. The hairstyles have been inspired by the likes of Layla, Bull Nakano, Sensational Sherry and more. We can also change the hair color/style of existing Superstars.

This video takes a look at the clothing style for the women in 2k17. Here we can see that there is a wide range for the women, including existing attires, cosplay, and unique yet realistic gears. These can be applied to new and existing characters.

Universe Mode

Universe Mode allows fans to create their very own versions of RAW, SmackDown, NXT and pay-per-views. Rivalries can build between characters and, based on in-game performances, so can injuries. On top of this, there are also some changes, as listed below:

  1. More slots – Gamers can now save multiple versions of their very own Universe! Previously, only one version of Universe Mode could be played, but now up to three different versions can be saved! This means that if you’re the type to have multiple visions for the world of WWE, now’s your chance to see three different versions be played out.
  2. New design – When opening up Universe Mode, a new design can be seen. Immediately you will be shown the current champions, rivalries, calendar and more.
  3. Matchmaking – Booking a match is now easier to do as well. The matchmaking system has been designed to set up the most important Superstars together, with a surprise booking or two. The “surprise booking” offers the chance for an underdog to go for a title shot, as seen sometimes in actual WWE programming. If this doesn’t matter to you, then complete control over the matchmaking is still apparent.
  4. Promos – To make your programming more exciting, promos during the night can be scheduled. This can allow characters to further their storylines by calling out other Superstars or simply bragging about their career. The option to interfere during a promo is also available.
  5. Show Presentation – Each show has a unique presentation so that a certain feeling can be present during RAW, SmackDown, NXT or pay-per-views. Banners are different and commentary is said to also be changed slightly. However, based on reviews, commentary doesn’t seem to have improved very much.
  6. Customization – Shows can be customized and created by fans in Universe mode. Superstars can also be edited through the Universe mode home screen, rather than through a separate one.

The Create A Story mode is no longer in the game, and as the brand split happened too late into production, we will not be seeing it implemented in the game either.
