Evolution 2 rumored for the end of August; Possible Tessa Blanchard WWE debut

As female wrestling fans, we cling on to the hope for a second all-women’s pay-per-view. Evolution in 2018 was a moment that lives in the hearts of many fans and not having in the following year was disheartening. The idea of an Evolution 2 is going to continue to be a talked-about option.

There was a prior rumor that a Queen of the Ring was to take place this year and that was scrapped. Now according to PWUnlimited we could get Evolution 2 as a Network Special on Aug. 30.

Currently, SummerSlam is taking place on Aug. 23 and there may be a possibility of having that Network Special the following weekend. If that is the case it may either be a second night of SummerSlam or it could be an Evolution 2. The recent heavy push of women such as Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Asuka could be a reason as they are planning to get more focus on the women.

This could be a valid reason as the women having been main eventing shows a lot more recently and having Banks, Bayley, and Charlotte Flair running on all three brands.

The other thought is this could be the debut of Tessa Blanchard if she is in fact signing with the company. There is no official word, but according to both the Wrestling Observer and talkSPORT is that WWE is interested in the former IMPACT and Knockouts Champion.

Blanchard was fired from IMPACT in June.

WWE has not announced an event to take place on Aug. 30 at this time. If it does take place they may be waiting until after Extreme Rules on July 19 to announce it.
