Following last week’s Impact Wrestling, Taeler Hendrix became the talk of the wrestling world when she became the first woman to compete in TNA’s Gut Check challenge live on Spike TV. Hendrix, who revealed her unique back story — being diagnosed with cancer at age 21 — faced off against veteran female wrestler, Tara. This week she’ll find out if she impressed the Gut Check judges enough to earn a TNA contract on Impact Wrestling, but before that, we talk to Taeler to get the scoop on her whirlwind week.
Since the Gut Check segment aired, Taeler’s biggest opportunity in wrestling to date, the OVW star’s Twitter following has doubled, she’s received more exposure than previously in her career and she’s been inundated with media requests. Speaking exclusively to Diva Dirt, Taeler discusses her Gut Check, how she felt she did, what it was like working with Tara and the backstage reception she received from the Knockouts.
Plus, we talk to Taeler about her start in wrestling, her influences, working in OVW where she recently held the OVW Women’s Championship for over 200 days, and more.
