2. Matt Hardy costs Lita her job, then breaks up with her (2003)
Matt Hardy shocked Lita and the world when he left her hanging during a tag team match, leaving her to lose the bout and–as per the stipulation–be fired by Eric Bischoff. He then took to the mic to air his grievances against her, calling her selfish for training after her neck surgery instead of following him to SmackDown. Matt claimed that her career meant more to her than their relationship, so he pronounced that it was over. Crappiest. Night. Ever.
