3. Lacey Von Erich, Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky enact the “Freebird rule” (March 2010)
The Knockouts Tag Titles were vacated for the first time when Awesome Kong left TNA. The Beautiful People (then consisting of Madison Rayne, Velvet Sky and Lacey Von Erich) won the titles and defended them under the “Freebird rule”, which allowed any combination of the trio to wrestle as champions. It was a unique way to inject some life into the division and provide some diversity.
