NXT is officially on the CW and they didn’t hesitate to bring in any big surprises for the occasion. Here’s the rundown of the action-packed night.
NXT Women’s Championship match: Roxanne Perez vs. Giulia
The show kicked off with Roxanne Perez defending her NXT Women’s Championship against Giulia, and this match was everything you’d want in a championship bout. Giulia came in hot with a flurry of technical moves, including a hammerlock northern lights suplex that looked like it could seal the deal. But this wasn’t going to be that straightforward. Just when Perez seemed to have things under control, a hooded figure made a timely appearance and attacked her. This interference allowed Perez to hit the Pop Rox for the win.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
The big reveal? Cora Jade was under the hood. Jade is here to make sure no one forgets her name.
Jaida Parker and Lola Vice couldn’t agree on who was in charge of their team, and it showed. Kelani Jordan stepped in to mediate, but the tension didn’t go away – tag match is next!
Jaida Parker/Lola Vice vs. Fatal Influence
With all that tension, it was no surprise that Parker and Vice’s tag team match against Fatal Influence quickly became more about their dysfunction than the actual wrestling. After a series of unfortunate miscommunications, Vice was sent crashing into Parker, setting her up for the knockout blow. Fatal Influence capitalized with a pair of running knees to Vice.
Winner: Fatal Influence
The drama didn’t stop there – Fatal Influence called out Kelani Jordan after the match, but things took a turn when WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill made a surprise appearance, clearing the ring in dominant fashion.
We also got a recap of Cora Jade’s return, and it seems she’s not happy with how quickly people moved on without her. Jade let her frustrations out, and Roxanne Perez, who doesn’t shy away from confrontation, suggested they unite against their common enemies. Could we see a reluctant alliance forming?
The NXT women’s division continues to bring the heat. Perez narrowly escaped with her title, Parker and Vice’s team chemistry was fun to watch implode. Next week we have the Tag Team Champions, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill teaming with the NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan. They will take on Fatal Influence.
