WWE’s women’s division has gone through a few changes recently. The departure of Becky Lynch and Charlotte has left WWE with a huge void to fill. The loss of two top-tier talent in such quick succession leaves the company in need to push and elevate new female wrestlers.
WWE are without two of their biggest stars and their inability to build any other wrestler outside of the four horsewomen and Asuka has left a huge gap between the main event and the level below.
Bayley and Sasha Banks have been excellent as of late and deserve all the plaudits keeping the division entertaining and exciting. However, the use of the duo across all three shows is not a long-term fix and will eventually become tiresome and overexpose them.
The fact WWE need to build up credible contenders a level below the top tier performers is nothing new. But the company has done little to produce them and now finds itself with only three top-level talents and two huge Becky and Charlotte shaped holes to fill.
For example, not one of Bayley’s seven title defences was her belt ever in danger. This is because the challengers have never been booked to look anywhere near credible enough to take the championship. The same goes for Becky Lynch’s reign, apart from a select few challengers her title reign was never jeopardy. More recently, Asuka defended her RAW Women’s Championship against Nia Jax there was simply no way the champion was losing.
The need for WWE to build a group of serious and credible challengers for the top level is evident and the time for them to do so is now. Therefore a list of performers who have the potential and the credibility to break through to the next level awaits.
Now, anyone given the right build and push can be booked to look like a credible threat for a championship, but below is a list of WWE SuperStars that if given the opportunity could legitimately become part of the main event level.
Take a look at the list and let us know what you think in the comments below. Enjoy.
Bianca Belair
Bianca Belair is the most can’t miss superstar to ever superstar and the fact that she has only appeared on Main Event since debuting on RAW is simply baffling.
Bianca Belair has it all. Endless charisma, extraordinary athleticism and strength and bonafide megastar potential. And as soon as WWE realise this the better because Belair is wasted on WWE’s D-Level show.
We all know what Belair is capable of from her time in NXT. Yet despite shining on the brand she still wasn’t used to her full potential and only scrathed the suface of the top tier. WWE need to right what NXT wronged and not only build her as a credible contender but build her whole division around her.
This past week on RAW we saw the return of Belair and in dominant fashion. Hopefully, this is the beginning of Belair’s journey to the top of the mountain.
