Fire N Flava (Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz) are the new Knockouts Tag Team Champions after defeating the Killer Death Machines (Havok & Nevaeh). In October, IMPACT announced that they were bringing back the Knockouts Tag Team Championships for the first time since 2013. Since then there has been a tournament featuring eight teams (16-women) to get to the final match at tonight’s Hard to Kill event.
They join 14 other Knockouts and Eric Young to hold the titles as it appears that the same lineage is being used. Hogan & Steelz are making history however as they are the first Black team to win the titles. The original run of the titles ran from 2009 to 2013.
Hogan was able to get the pin on Nevaeh after a twisting german suplex with the bridge for the win. After the match, former Knockouts Tag Team Champions Madison Rayne and Gail Kim presented the new titles to the winners. Quite the passing of the torch.
A huge congratulations to Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz for starting a new era with the Knockouts Tag Team Championships.
