Under Siege took place on IMPACT Plus this Saturday and we have new Knockouts Tag Team Champions.
The former champions, Fire ‘N Flava, have regained the titles by defeating the now-former champions Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering. This makes them now two-time champions. Grace & Ellering only held the titles since April 25 when they defeated Fire ‘N Flava at Rebellion. That match was the debut match for Ellering.
Leading up to this match, Grace lost to Tasha Steelz while Ellering defeated Kiera Hogan in one-on-one bouts. Fire ‘N Flava has been also getting into the head of Grace making her feel as though she is the weaker link of her team. At Under Siege, Steelz would best Grace once again as she delivered a frog splash to get the pin and regain the titles.
There was another tag team match on the card which saw Taylor Wilde reluctantly team with Tenille Dashwood. They came out with the win against Susan and Kimber Lee. Wilde gets the win with a northern lights suplex pin on Susan. Wilde stated prior to this match that she was only teaming with Dashwood to get closer to her goal despite how much Dashwood wants them to be a team.
Dashwood would also take some time to take some selfies of her and Wilde in which we can see below that Wilde was far from amused.
Deonna Purrazzo is still the Knockouts Champion as she defeated Havok. Havok earned this title shot by taking down Rosemary on this past week’s IMPACT. Prior to the match, the champion said she was glad to be facing Havok as she is the one woman left she hasn’t broken the arm of.
Wherever there is Purrazzo there is Susan and Kimber Lee. The duo did what they could to distract Havok which lasted only until they were knocked off the apron. Havok then avoided an armbar attempt and connected with a running boot. She wouldn’t avoid the next armbar as Purrazzo sneaks one in to get her to tap out. Purrazzo continues her reign since she won the title for the second time in November.
What did you think of Under Siege? IMPACT’s next IMPACT Plus event is Against All Odds on June 12 followed by their next big event Slammiversary in July.
