WWE has announced the next set of tryouts that will take place over SummerSlam week. SummerSlam is in two weeks and will take place on July 30. They will host talent tryouts for more than 50 college athletes and the event is invite only.
These Nashville tryouts will be, for the first time ever, open to WWE fans who wish to buy a ticket to observe the proceedings. It is said that Big E will be scouting the tryouts.
According to an exclusive from PWInsider, they have been told a total of four names who have been the first to receive the invite for the tryout. Three of those names are women.
The three names are as follows –
Derrian Gobourne, 21, a six-time All-American Gymnast who competes for Auburn Gymnastics will also be in Nashville for Summerslam weekend. She was signed to a WWE NIL deal this past June but is continuing her gymnastics career with Auburn.
Lenaya Griffin – Track and Field star for Long Beach State University. She was named Track Athlete of the Week for the week of 4/12/22 by BigWest.Org.
Lea Simone Mitchell – Michigan State alum who competed for five years on the University’s gymnastics team.
