Much like Victoria, Melina is often neglected in regards to the impact she has had in WWE’s women division. Lately however, she has received some recognition and closure as she returned to WWE in July for their RAW Reunion show.
Melina was the perfect blend of an in-ring competitor and manager. Starting out as a manager for MNM (Joey Mercury & Johnny Nitro) she made sure that her team became tag champions. She kept the same mentality as she transferred her skills in the ring.
As a five-time champion herself (three-Women’s Champion, two-Divas Champion), Melina battled future hall of famers such as Beth Phoenix, Trish Stratus, and Torrie Wilson. Who can forget the moment she kidnapped Trish?
A number of firsts started with Melina. The first women’s “I Quit” match between her and Phoenix as well as the first women’s Falls Count Anywhere match against Mickie James.
Melina needs her final redemption in WWE and that is with being placed in the Hall of Fame.
