LayCool

Separately it can be argued that Michelle McCool and Layla are Hall of Fame worthy, but together as LayCool they deserve the nod. Being quintessential Divas, both McCool and Layla started their careers in WWE as part of the Diva Search. Layla being a winner.

Both women became champions between acquiring both the Women’s and Divas Championships. Often considered as co-champions, the two would defend against Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, and Natalya. They would participate in a Divas tag team table match against Phoenix and Natalya. They were definitely before their time as they would excel as Women’s Tag Team Champions.

They were involved in the unification of the Women’s and Diva’s Titles. McCool represented the duo as she defeated Melina for the team to become the Unified Divas Champion. Although McCool was the one in the match, Layla is confirmed as the final Women’s Champion of that title lineage.

The team would last close to two-years until cracks started to show. McCool would eventually turn on Layla and the two would have one final match at the 2011 Extreme Rules. Layla would defeat McCool in this Loser leaves WWE match. McCool would the retire from WWE as Layla would continue with the company until 2015.

Separately McCool was the inaugural Divas Champion and Layla was the first British champion. These were accolades met outside of the LayCool team.
