Five predictions for the winner of AEW’s Casino Battle Royale at All Out

AEW’s next big pay-per-view is rapidly approaching and it is the third annual All Out which will take place in two weeks on Sept. 5. Although a Women’s Casino Battle Royale hasn’t officially been announced on AEW programming just yet, AEW President Tony Khan mentioned back in May that there will be one at the upcoming All Out event.

This will be the second match of its type for the women in AEW’s history. The first one took place in 2019 and Nyla Rose came out with the win. She went on to face Riho and to determine the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion in which Riho won.

For those who may not be familiar with the rules of a Casino Battle Royale match, the entrants are grouped in groups of five based on a deck of cards -spades, diamonds, clubs, or hearts. Groups will enter in a random draw and will continue every three minutes until all groups enter. There is a total of 21-competitors in the match and the last entrant is the “Joker” card. Mercedes Martinez was the last one to enter as the “Joker” card in 2019.

Let’s talk about some of the women who could benefit from a win in this match.

Tay Conti

Tay Conti is a perfect choice to propel someone with a win in this match. She, just like a few on this list, have had their momentum halted and are very rarely seen on AEW’s flagship show Dynamite. She is constantly on the AEW rankings and currently sits at number three with a 22-3 win/loss count.

On paper that sounds excellent, and although it is, Conti has not been seen on Dynamite since April. She has been regulated to Dark/Elevation shows since her quality match against Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s Title. A win in the Battle Royale would certainly bring her back to where she belongs.

Ruby Soho

One of the more obvious choices to draw the ‘Joker’ entrant would be Ruby Soho.

Her 90-day non-compete clause is up just at the time of All Out and she has been hinting at her return to the ring. Most recently airing a vignette of herself missing a train. There has also been many reports and speculation that she is heading towards AEW being her next home.

Although many fans are looking forward to seeing what is next for Ruby, booking her to win the Battle Royale may not be everyone’s choice, but it is one to think about.

Kris Statlander

Kris Statlander

Kris is one of two on this list that may actually be the next opponent for Dr. Britt Baker‘s title with our without a Battle Royale win. As of now it appears that she is heading right for the champion after she attacked Baker during the first episode of Rampage.

If she doesn’t face Baker at All Out for the title, putting her in the Battle Royale and getting a win would do well for her. Despite having being out for over a year during her time with AEW due to injury, Statlander is one who is generally booked and is a clear front runner for the division.

Red Velvet

Red Velvet

Red Velvet is a lot like Tay Conti on this list. She is one that constantly is picking up wins but is generally regulated to Dark/Elevation shows. As of late she has been shown a bit on Dynamite and took part in the first main event of Rampage’s history as she faced Baker for the championship.

She is one of the more consistent talent for the promotion and giving her a Battle Royale win will help elevate her. Being in more championship matches in the future seem likely on Red’s radar.

Thunder Rosa

One of AEW’s most recent signings, Thunder Rosa, is no stranger to the promotion. For one year as of today Aug. 22, Rosa has been competing for AEW without officially being considered All Elite. She is the second on this list other than Statlander that could possibly be Britt’s opponent for the title at All Out.

She was recently at the top of the rankings but has just been edged out by Statlander., With Statlander picking the fight with the champion and the newly All Elite announced Jamie Hayter, Rosa may be leading towards a Battle Royale win.

Rosa is arguably one of the hottest commodities in wrestling right now. A win for her in this bigger match may be expected, but would be highly earned.
