Five SummerSlam matches that are a must-see

SummerSlam 2016 –

Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte Flair for the Women’s Championship

To round out our must-see list we have another famous rivalry that will be cemented in history. 2016 became the year of The Boss vs. The Queen. Planted in the middle of their feud came SummerSlam.

During their long feud from WrestleMania 32 through the rest of that year Flair won the title four times and Banks three. This was Banks’ first time as champion on the main roster and she did all that she could to hold onto the title. Sad to say for Banks her back injury was a focal point throughout the match that Flair pried on.

Banks thought she was moments away from retaining her title at the end of this near 14-minute exchange with her Bank Statement locked in. Flair was able to turn the champions submission hold into a rolling pin and shocks The Boss to pick up the win. Flair becomes the new champion and this match set up more great matches between these two in the future.
