Tonight on SmackDown Live, a number one-contender five-way elimination match has been announced for Battleground. The winner of the match will go on to face the SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi at SummerSlam next month.

During a backstage segment, SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon gathered WWE Superstars Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Lana, Natalya, Tamina and Naomi to officially announce the five-way elimination match.
During the course of the discussion, Charlotte questioned how Lana was even included in the match but much like on last week’s episode of SmackDown, Tamina came to Lana’s defense as did fellow second generation Superstar Natalya.
WWE’s Battleground airs July 23rd at 8 PM ET on the WWE Network.
