2. Dash Chisako
Meiko Satomura is still far from the end of her career, but, although her name has been thrown around as a potential AEW acquisition, she seems an unlikely signee. The veteran founded and competes for her own promotion, Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling, in Japan and hardly wants to uproot her life and move to the United States at this stage. But her protege, Dash Chisako, may be a different story.
Chisako is also part of the Sendai Girls roster, mainly the tag division, where she’s a four-time champion. Known as “the Hardcore Queen”, her high-speed, high-flying and ultra-violent style is inspired by her favorite wrestler, Jeff Hardy. Her main event match against Kay Lee Ray at Pro-Wrestling: EVE’s #SHEVOLUTION was one of the highlights of the British wrestling scene in 2018.
Despite her illustrious tag career, Chisako is someone many joshi fans will think of if asked for underrated wrestlers or wrestlers who should be stars. She’s never really got that crucial push as a solo competitor: in nearly fifteen years at Sendai Girls, she’s only had two shots at the World Title. That could all change if AEW sign her and give her the singles run she’s needed to cement her place at the forefront of joshi puroresu.
