According to SoCalUncensored, the current reigning IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion, Chelsea Green, aka Laurel Van Ness, made her debut.
On February 25 she was involved in a four-way match with Jeremiah Crane (Sami Callihan), Marty “the Moth” Martinez, and Exolicious (Sonny Kiss).
Laurel is currently the Knockouts Champion according to Impact tapings but has since been granted her release from the company.
Green signed with IMPACT in June of 2016 after wrestling several matches for the company including a match against Jade. In late 2016, Van Ness formed an on-screen relationship with Braxton Sutter. On February 23, 2017, the two were set to marry until Van Ness got rejected by Sutter during their wedding when he professed that he was in love with Allie, which in turn turned the rich heiress into the drunken “hot mess” Laurel.
After Gail Kim retired and the Knockouts Championship was declared vacant, Van Ness defeated Rosemary in the finals of the knockouts tournament which included KC Spinelli, Sienna, Madison Rayne, and others to become the new Knockouts Champion.
No word yet on whether or not this was a dark match or if Chelsea will officially make her LU debut when Season 4 premieres later this year.
