Tonight’s Lucha Underground season finale featured the debut of former WWE Diva Melina.
Melina came to the aid of former WWE beau Johnny Mundo, who was doing battle with Alberto el Patrón. She hit Patrón with his AAA Mega Championship belt, allowing Johnny to pick up the win.
The couple stood tall for a moment post-match, but Patrón got quick revenge, tossing Johnny into a glass window and delivering a spanking to Melina.
Melina has worked for various indy promotions since her 2011 WWE release, most recently appearing at Maryland Championship Wrestling’s Ladies Night event, where she served as the outside enforcer for the MCW Women’s Title match between Amber Rodriguez and Mickie James. Her interference in the match bought her a Widow’s Peak from referee Lisa Marie Varon.
Melina’s last official match took place in 2012, in which she and Davey Richards lost to Velvet Sky and Xix Xavant at a World Wrestling Council event in Puerto Rico.
