Although the door was closed on a possible WWE return for Maria Kanellis, it’s safe to say that she has kicked down another door by getting cast in an upcoming horror movie.
Maria joins former TNA Knockout Thea Trinidad (a.k.a Rosita) in the film entitled “Army of the Damned”. The movie’s IMDB profile describes the movie’s plot as “a reality TV show goes horribly wrong when a group of small town cops respond to a call that brings a whole new meaning to the phrase, domestic disturbance.”
Maria tweeted about her involvement, saying:

Army of the Damned, which also features former WWE Superstar Tommy Dreamer and ‘N Sync member Joey Fatone, is scheduled for a 2013 release.
