Former WWE Diva Tiffany, real name Taryn Terrell, has joined TNA.
Terrell made her Impact Wrestling debut tonight as the hand-picked referee for the Knockouts Championship rematch between Madison Rayne and Brooke Tessmacher.
Taryn’s WWE run included a stint as General Manager of ECW, before becoming an in-ring competitor on SmackDown where she showed a lot of potential as a wrestler. Terrell’s most notable highlight came when she and Kelly Kelly were pit against LayCool in a feud. The rivalry saw Terrell earn a Women’s Championship opportunity against Michelle McCool on an episode of SmackDown.
Terrell’s WWE career came to an end abruptly, however, two years ago in the lead up to SummerSlam following an altercation at a hotel that also involved her then-husband, WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre. Terrell was suspended in August 2010 and released in November of that year.
You can listen to our interview with Taryn in 2010 talking about the incident that led to her release, her run in WWE and more here.
Thoughts: Talk about a shocker! I’ve always said that I felt Taryn had a ton of potential in her matches on SmackDown and I was excited to see how she’d fare in the Divas division with more experience. It looks like this could be a second chance for her to show what she can do, much like Tessmacher received another opportunity in wrestling with TNA and has since gone on to become one of their top Knockouts.
