SmackDown Live will have a new home come October 2019.
According to ESPN, SmackDown will be heading to Fox Network (The Hollywood Reporter says the new deal is for five years at $205 million annually) next fall while WWE’s Raw will continue to be a part of NBC Universal’s line-up.
Throughout the years, SmackDown has had many network homes that include UPN, The CW, MyNetworkTV, Syfy and it’s current home of USA.
The Wrap also adds that the change in the network will also come with SmackDown moving from Tuesday nights to Friday nights with added speculation that the blue brand would grow from a two-hour program to a three-hour show.
In previous years, the WWE would tape SmackDown on Tuesdays but made the decision to go live as part of their move to USA Network. There are currently no details on whether it will stay live with the change in the network.
