Last night on Friday Night SmackDown night one of the WWE Draft took place. One of the biggest shocks thus far was RAW Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair getting drafted to the blue brand.
Flair was the third pick of the first round and wasted no time in making her presence felt when she attacked both Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair later on in the show. Post-match Flair and Becky Lynch stood with their respective titles lofted above their heads.
After the show Flair was interviewed by Kayla Braxton and proudly stated “FOX knows who the real face is.”
According to Wrestling Inc. President Raj Giri FOX officials specifically requested for Flair to be brought to SmackDown in the Draft.
It is an interesting turn of events as both women’s champions are on the same show for now at least. The move also raises questions as to how the RAW women’s title will head back to the red brand. Night 2 on the WWE takes place on Monday, October 5th.
The Draft also saw Bianca Belair head to RAW, Naomi remain on SmackDown, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H get drafted to stay on RAW and B-FAB of Hit Row called up from NXT.
