NXT offered up three women’s matches on this weeks show including the highly anticipated debut match of Franky Monet.
This week’s match results were as follows:
Franky Monet defeated Cora Jade
Mercedes Martinez defeated Zayda Ramier
Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart defeated Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez
Monet took down Jade with a Glam Slam to get the pin and the victory. On commentary Beth Phoenix added in “that looks familiar” after Monet executed the finisher. In a WWE Exclusive, Monet calls out the entire women’s locker room and even the NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez. She says she is coming for each and every one of them.
Mercedes Martinez has a match against Zayda Ramier. This was her first match since she was unable to capture the NXT Women’s Title from Gonzalez two weeks ago. Prior to the match she admitted that she did learn from her match against Gonzalez. As she was heading to the ring, Boa was lurking in the background.
After a solid match, Martinez defeated Ramier. Commentary played off the story that Ramier defeated Toni Storm and was out to get another upset. After the match the lights went out, turned to the red light, and smoke filled the ring. Martinez then realized that she had been marked by Tian Sha.
As announced last week, both teams in the tag team match have their eye on the tag champions. Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart had another high paced match with Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez. After a tag team moveset, Moon would pin Kai to get the win. The former champions weren’t able to celebrate though after Gonzalez got back in the ring.
The NXT Women’s Champion demanded Kai to make Moon watch as she would go on to deliver pain to Blackheart. She slammed her into the plexiglass numerous times and the ring post before dropping her on the barricade. Kai held Moon while she watched and wasn’t able to help her tag team partner.
Other entertaining moments for the women on the show included Indi Hartwell looking for Dexter Lumis and B-Fab in a promo with Hit Row.
Hartwell went on a mission to find Lumis. What she ended up finding was a room filled with Lumis’ artwork which showed how heartbroken he was after overhearing Hartwell calling him a loser last week. This was before she found out that it was Candice LeRae who sent flowers to Moon & Blackheart and it wasn’t Lumis after all.
B-Fab had a promo with the rest of Hit Row. The group called out all the male champions in NXT and let them know that they are coming for all of them. Unfortunately, B-Fab didn’t comment on the women’s champion so we may not see her in the ring just yet.
