It appears that IMPACT Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo won’t be the only person from IMPACT to attend the upcoming NWA Empowerrr event. Gail Kim will be there too.
Mickie James is on the hunt to make sure that NWA Empowerrr tops all expectations as it is NWA’s first all-female pay-per-view event. IMPACT Hall of Famer and current IMPACT producer Gail Kim, was invited by James backstage after she helped guide Purrazzo in accepting the invitation to have a match at the upcoming event.
Mickie wants Gail to help her lead the charge and help produce the show. Gail fully accepts. It has also been announced that other legends such as Madusa, Jazz, and LuFisto are helping out as well with producing the event. (WrestleZone)
The show will include an Invitational Tournament as well as the NWA Women’s Tag Team Championships being brought back.
Empowerrr will take place on Aug. 28, one day before NWA’s 73rd Anniversary show on Aug. 29. Mickie has stated she will not be in action at Empowerrr but will have a match at NWA 73.
IMPACT’s next IMPACT Plus event is this Saturday on July 31 and it is title Homecoming. It will feature a mixed-tag team tournament to crown a Queen and King.
Four teams have been announced so far and they are:
– Rachael Ellering & Tommy Dreamer
– Jordynne Grace & Petey Williams
– Chelsea Green & Matt Cardona
– Rosemary & Crazzy Steve
