Giulia has arrived at No Mercy!
For months now, the Japanese talent has been rumored to be joining WWE and on the NXT brand. She came face-to-face with Roxanne Perez after Perez defeated Jaida Parker to retain the NXT Women’s Title.
In the championship match, Parker was definitely the power in this match but came in with injured ribs. Parker had come very close to winning the gold even though she was caught in both a crossface and a rings of saturn submission by Perez. Once the action spilled to the outside after Parker delivered a Hipnotic is where Perez gained the final upper hand. Parker went for a second Hipnotic on the outside but Perez moved which drove Parker through the barricade at the time keepers area. Perez hit a Pop Rox to Parker on the fallen barricade.
Once both women made it back into the ring before the count of ten, Perez immediately hit a second Pop Rox for the victory.
After the replay, Perez was celebrating her victory when the lights went dim and Giulia appeared. She made her way to the ring and both women came face-to-face with Perez raising her title to end the segment.
Commentary also mentioned that Perez is just behind Asuka with number of NXT Women Title defenses at premium live events.
Also at No Mercy, Kelani Jordan retained the NXT Women’s North American Title against Wendy Choo. Jordan won off of the split legged moonsault. After the match, Tatum Paxley put Choo to sleep and showed her new Choo barbie doll.
