Happy Halloween! We’re celebrating our sixth anniversary of dreaming up Halloween costumes for the Divas and Knockouts. This year we’ll mixing Knockouts and Divas together in three posts leading up to the big day.
But before you see this year’s picks, be sure to catch up on the past five years of this feature:
* 2008
* 2009: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
* 2010: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
* 2011: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
* 2012: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
AJ Lee: Carrie White from Carrie.
A young woman that feels persecuted and rejected and will lash out violently when threatened – are we talking about Carrie or AJ? Whether you’re thinking of the Sissy Spacek or Chloë Moretz versions, AJ seems to eerily fit them both, making you wonder if telekinesis is in her secret repertoire.
Aksana: A black cat.
Fans might not understand Aksana’s penchant for crawling around the ring when her opponent is down, but we think it probably has something to do with a fondness for felines. And with that dark hair, how could she not resemble a black cat? When she crosses your path, you’re doomed to defeat… or something like that.
Alexa is one of the few NXT rookie Divas that already has a full-fledged gimmick, and when we first saw her – southern accent, sass and all – we couldn’t help but think of Nidia, the original trailer park Diva. We like to think of her gimmick as an homage to Nidia, so why not take it a step further with a Halloween costume?
Alicia Fox: Olivia Pope from Scandal.
We’ve got no gripe about saying we want 2014 to be Alicia’s big year in the spotlight, and with Olivia being a notorious “fixer” for all the scandalous problems thrown at high society figures, it would perhaps give A. Fox that much needed boost. We want Alicia to fix it up so that she’s once again a force to be reckoned with in the Divas division, and we won’t rest until it’s handled.

Bayley: Boo from Monsters, Inc..
Naive, happy-go-lucky Bayley has captured the hearts of fans with her optimism and enthusiasm for wrestling…and her headbands. She reminds us of a little girl, unaware of how scary the world around her can be, ready to give everyone a smile and a hug. Sounds a little like Boo, right?
Brie and Nikki Bella: Daniel Bryan and John Cena.
The Bellas are much more than someone’s girlfriend, but we loved seeing them interact with their significant others on Total Divas and reference them in Instagram photos, so we can’t help but wonder what it would look like if they dressed as them, Brie with a beard and Nikki with huge muscles. It’s not sexy, but it would be kind of weird if it was meant to be, wouldn’t it?
Brooke: Gemma Teller-Morrow from Sons of Anarchy.
For those of you not familiar with FX’s Sons of Anarchy, it’s pretty much what the Aces & Eights in TNA strive to be. Gemma may be known as the “old lady”, but in reality, she’s hitched up with the leader of the gang, in the same way Brooke is to Bully. She’s almost got the look down with the biker babe gear, but maybe trade in the short shorts for some blue jeans and a custom Sons of Anarchy leather jacket and she’s got Gemma Teller-Morrow down pat!

Cameron: A minion from Despicable Me (with Vincent as Gru).
The consensus from Total Divas viewers seemed to be that Cameron’s boyfriend Vincent bore a striking resemblance to Gru from Despicable Me. We felt inspired to give him the opportunity to acknowledge the joke, while giving Cameron a cutesy costume to go alongside him. Though, we’re not sure if “the bomb dot com” is in the minions’ vocabulary.
Charlotte: Ric Flair.
Charlotte may resent us for it, but we can’t think of a better costume for the second generation Diva than her father, Ric Flair. We’re thinking vintage Flair, with the feathered hair and dark eyebrows. You know, back when he really was riding in limousines, flying in jets and stealing kisses. Wooo!
Dixie Carter: Leigh Anne Tuohy from The Blind Side.
When we first saw Dixie Carter’s new sassy, ultra-southern personality, we couldn’t help but think of Sandra Bullock‘s sassy, ultra-southern character in The Blind Side. Sure, Leigh Anne wasn’t cruel or manipulative, but maybe a blonde wig and some large sunglasses could inspire a change in Dixie.
Stay tuned tomorrow for part two!
