Bobby‘s Pick: Brie & Nikki Bella.
For my choice, I’m going on a slight cop out and picking two reigns… but they’re not exactly unrelated to each other. If that didn’t give it away, I’ll just flat out say that it’s none other than both Brie and Nikki Bella. I know most are probably wondering why Nikki’s included since her reign was a whopping six days long, but the reason why I loved both equally is because, to me at least, the Bellas made those titles seem important and it really came off to me that they were genuinely excited to be holding them every second they could.
I know every Diva feels that way about being champion, but there was just something about the Bellas in particular that really clicked for me. Not only were their wins were exciting to watch and felt special, but I really thought they stepped up to the plate and came off as true main-caliber stars with them in every way possible. The belt looked great with them, they had the charisma, and I loved their ring work.
In fact, I still remember Brie’s great match with Natalya on an episode of SmackDown, that promo the two of them cut on Kharma‘s last night (sans her Royal Rumble appearance) and Nikki’s big victory over Beth Phoenix to end Beth’s near historic run as champion. Both were a breath of fresh air to the Divas Championship no matter how long or short their respected reigns were, and I for one have always been entertained by the duo. They may get a lot of hate from fans, but I love that they just roll with the punches and don’t let it get to them. Viva la Bella!~ (yes I really just said that… blame the trouble I always have starting and ending my writing.)
