Eve Torres will go down in the WWE history books as a record-breaking three-time Divas Champion, as well as the first Diva Search winner to win the title. Fans were happy when the still fairly green Diva won the title for the first time in 2010–both her genuine elation at her victory and her strides in the ring to improve as a wrestler were obvious. They were left confused when Eve was rather randomly added into a match in January 2011 that originally featured Natalya vs. Lay-Cool for the championship, making it a fatal four way.. and won.
In September 2012, Eve managed to defeat Layla and become the first Diva in history to hold the title three times. This was her most exciting title reign of the three–the first of hers as a heel. Eve played her bad girl role to the hilt: getting Aksana to do her dirty work for her, beating down on Beth Phoenix when Kaitlyn blamed a blonde for her injuries (then using her power as Booker T’s assistant to suspend Beth) and generally being awful to Teddy Long. She entered into a feud with Kaitlyn, finally losing the gold to her at Raw’s 20th Anniversary in January 2013, which ended both her most successful program as champion and WWE career in one fell swoop.
Eve was a very likable performer, both as a down to earth babyface and a Queen-like heel. She always looked the part of a champion, representing the division well. She also constantly aimed to put on an impressive performance for the fans, which made for an excellent Divas Champion.
