Tonight at Hell in a Cell, Sasha Banks and Charlotte make history as the first women to ever compete inside the Hell in a Cell match for the Raw Women’s title. The match is also reportedly said to go last on tonight’s card, making Sasha and Charlotte the first women to main event a WWE PPV. Which Superstar will walk away from the cell as champion? The Diva Dirt team weighs in:
Abir: Though the ending will be predictable, I know that the ladies will make it feel as though it could go either way throughout. I expect both women to throw it down and steal the show, with a moonsault from the top of the cage from Charlotte taking place. The match will come to a close as Sasha Banks will force Charlotte to tap to the Bank Statement and retain her title.
Alex: I think it’s pretty obvious Sasha is going to win this one. SummerSlam was meant to be the rubber match, but they swerved us for whatever reason and now two months later we’re seeing these women take center stage again. I guess the predictability of this match outcome has ruined the excitement, but I’m sure this is still going to be one for the records. Charlotte becoming a three time Women’s Champion and Sasha having another two week long reign does nothing for the title *cough*TNA Knockouts Championship*cough*.
Candace: Charlotte for the win!
Josue: This is as close to we’ll get to seeing two women as the main event of a PPV! What a time to be a women’s wrestling fan! I think it is pretty much a safe bet to that Sasha will win tonight but I’m confident that both women will deliver tonight and steal the show! I’m predicting we’ll see some high sports from Charlotte and some new bumps/manuevers from inside and outside the cell structure.
Matthew: This rivalry has so much controversy and hot potato title reigns, I think both are going to come out swinging in a match that has so many legendary battles inside the demonic structure. Expect a more intense battle with plenty of high spots that will make Matt Hardy name more spot monkeys in his personal zoo. Charlotte will try to live up to her father’s legacy and give the match some color just like her dad did in the old NWA. Since the title has gone back and forth between the two so soon I hope Sasha retains and closes the chapter on their rivalry for now. Let’s not forget, there are several ladies in the RAW locker room just waiting to get a crack at a title opportunity, and I can expect Nia Jax will have some part to play after the match, setting up the feud between either Charlotte or Sasha vs. the dominant Nia Jax along the line.
Stephanie: With so much controversy surrounding this match, I think both are going to come out firing on all cylinders. I expect a more intense battle with high spots. I think Charlotte will also live up to her father’s legacy and give the match some color. Since the title has gone back and forth between the two so soon I hope Sasha retains and ends their rivalry for now. I also think Nia will have some part to play after the match, setting up the next women’s title feud.
