We have arrived at Hell in a Cell which is set to take place tonight. A WWE pay-per-view that is typically aired in October is now starting off the summer for the company.
Despite some heavy and rightful criticism of the build-up for this event when it comes to certain storylines, four women’s matches are set for tonight’s show. Two of them will see a championship on the line and the third will likely be a cinematic approach based on who is in the match.
The matches are as follows:
Kick Off Show
Natalya vs. Mandy Rose
Updated results: Natayla wins
Main Card
Alexa Bliss vs. Shayna Baszler
Updated results: Alexa Bliss wins
SmackDown Women’s Title
Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley Hell in a Cell match
Updated results: Bianca Belair wins to retain the title
RAW Women’s Title
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
Updated results: Charlotte Flair wins by DQ, but still the RAW Women’s Champion- Rhea Ripley
WWE has just added a singles match for the women on the Kick off show. Mandy Rose will take on one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Natalya. Natalya and Tamina had an altercation with Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke last week backstage. Nattie/Tamina poked at Rose/Brooke being too concerned by their looks and that it wasn’t their brains that got them to where they are today. Rose/Brooke fought back with Nattie/Tamina only being where they are because of their last names.
Alexa Bliss and her doll Lilly have been traumatizing Shayna Baszler (along with Nia Jax/Reginald) over the past number of weeks. It started with Bliss saying that Lilly was watching someone during a six-woman tag match on the May 10 episode of RAW. Baszler’s knee, without reason, gave out during that match.
Since then, Lilly has been causing havoc all over. This came to a climax when Lilly took out Baszler backstage two weeks ago in a cinematic moment. Last week, Bliss went one-on-one with Nia Jax which resulted in a disqualification. Bliss hypnotized Reginald before leaving the ring.
The second match on the card will take place inside Hell in a Cell.
Bianca Belair has been battling Bayley since WrestleMania and has already successfully defeated her in the past to retain the SmackDown Women’s Title. This match was placed in the cell itself after Belair challenged Bayley on Friday’s SmackDown episode. Their feud has rooted around a laugh. Bayley has been laughing at Belair which has made her feel bullied as she was when she was young. Who will come out of Hell in a Cell with the blue brand’s belt around their waist?
Last but not least the RAW Women’s Title will be on the line.
A match that was expected to be put inside Hell in a Cell will not see the steel structure. The champion Rhea Ripley is defending her title against Charlotte Flair. The two have been battling since WrestleMania and Ripley retain during their last encounter which was a Triple Threat that included Asuka at WrestleMania Backlash. While they have been feuding, each woman has been picking up losses to both Asuka and Nikki Cross.
