Hikaru Shida has qualified for the Owen Hart Cup.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion defeated Julia Hart after delivering a Falcon Arrow to secure her spot in the Owen Hart Cup. She makes the third out of eight women that will qualify as she joins Jamie Hayter and Toni Storm.
After the match, her fierce rival Serena Deeb‘s music hit. With her kendo stick in hand, she realizes that Deeb is behind her with a steel chair. The two stare each other down without either making a move. Deeb eventually backs down and makes her way out of the ring without things turning physical.
The next qualifier match for the Owen Hart Cup is set for this Friday’s Rampage and it will be Willow Nightingale taking on Red Velvet. Willow recently battled for the Interim ROH Women’s World Championship which was won by Mercedes Martinez at ROH’s return event.
The qualifiers will take place until eight women are confirmed for the tournament in May. The finals take place on May 29 at Double or Nothing.
Another match confirmed will be for the AEW Women’s World Title at Battle of the Belts II on April 16. Nyla Rose will be challenging Thunder Rosa for the gold.
Jade Cargill had a promo sending a message to her upcoming 30th opponent Marina Shafir. Cargill is confident that she will continue her undefeated streak and keep hold of the TBS Championship.
