This week’s ROH Women’s Division Wednesday match will be Hyan facing Max the Impaler. ROH has been putting on a women’s match weekly for the past few weeks as they head towards a tournament this summer to crown a brand new ROH Women’s Champion. This is a way to relaunch their women’s division and participants will include both veterans of ROH as well as newcomers.
Every week Maria Kanellis-Bennett assess the matches while on commentary and then issues a golden ticket via zoom call to the individual(s) whom she feels should enter the tournament.
Hyan and Max were part of the very first Women’s Division Wednesday at the end of April in a tag team match. Hyan had teamed with Laynie Luck while Max teamed with Rok-C. The match ended in a draw as the four wrestled to the 15-minute time limit. Out of these four competitors, only Rok-C so far has earned a gold ticket.
She is joined by Angelina Love, Trish Adora, and Miranda Alize who all will participant in the upcoming tournament. Love earned a bye in the upcoming first round after defeating Quinn McKay.
Another match took place between Sumie Sakai and Vita Vonstarr. Neither woman has been confirmed to have won a gold ticket for the tournament at this time.
This will be Hyan and Max’s second shot. Who will earn their golden ticket into this summers tournament and potentially become the first ROH Women’s Champion under the brand new championship?
