Greetings, Impact fans! It is I, Chris and this week Impact hails from Scotland. Does the DixieTrain run across International lines? In any event, There was plenty of Knockouts action this week so let’s get to it!
The first bit of female goodness we get on the show comes from a Dixie Carter appearance. She doesn’t seem to be too happy about Magnus booking himself in a match. Could trouble be brewing in her DixieLand stable?
Up next, Gail Kim and Lei’D Tapa in tag team action against Velvet Sky and Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne!
Alright, I know I’m usually really tough on Velvet but, I loved EVERYTHING about this segment. I really was not expecting the acknowledgement of the history between Velvet and Madison, and certainly not a video flashback. The match itself was good, but Velvet and Madison both looked really good, I personally thought Velvet looked the best she has in the ring in a long time. Madison’s spear is quickly becoming one of my favorites in all of women’s wrestling, and Gail & Tapa always make everything better.
After the match, Chris Sabin comes out and starts complaining to Velvet Sky, who ends up dumping him. Yes!, finally, storyline progression! I can get behind this! For being such a short segments, This was great!
Earlier this week, Christy Hemme had a date with Dexter…urhmm… I mean Sam Shaw. Now, I don’t watch many dramas but from what I’ve been told, this angle is a rip off of several different TV shows which is…not shocking. The segment ends up revealing Shaw’s “collection” of Hemme in a special room. I’m not joking. Couldn’t Christy just watch the show back and realize? Or check her Twitter? RUN, CHRISTY, RUN!
I should note that was on TNA’s Impact Interactive all night and I can’t help but wonder why she’s not being used on TV, I feel like she was doing great things with her heel run and then just vanished without a trace, I feel like she would work really well as a challenger against Madison.
Finally, Queen Dixie gets to meet her new business partner when the worst keep secret in wrestling, the new TNA investor is finally revealed… and Dixie isn’t happy about it!
Over all, I thought this was a very good episode for the girls. Although the match itself was very short, I really enjoyed seeing Madison and Velvet back together. I do have to wonder, Will this be a permanent reunion? Certainly with the entrance and the video flashback TNA was trying to hype the team, so I’ll be interested to see where this goes.
We usually get a Knockouts title match on Impact during the UK Tour so hopefully we’ll see the Gail/Madison rematch soon.
Until next week, Choo Choo!
