Oprah, Harrison Ford, Denzel Washington and now Total Divas!
No, we’re not talking about some elite Hollywood function, but it’s still pretty prestigious. Total Divas stars Natalya, Brie and Nikki Bella joined former CNN host and media legend Larry King on his new online show Larry King Now to talk Total Divas, tattoos, injuries and their love lives.
Natalya says it’s very “empowering” to be a Diva in the WWE today. She cites being able to put on intense matches while being an ambassador to organizations like Susan G. Komen and Make a Wish.
Nikki admits that things can get personal in the ring, recalling a moment when a hard hit knocked one of her teeth out. She says, in the heat of the moment, she kicked her opponent hard in the stomach in return.
Brie talks about going ring shopping with boyfriend Daniel Bryan, saying that she hopes the proposal comes soon. She says she expects it within months, but Bryan might be thinking in terms of years.
Nikki says her year dating John Cena has been the best year of her life. Even though he’s a huge WWE Superstar, it doesn’t feel like it, because John’s so humble.
Natalya says, growing up, she didn’t go a day without wrestling being in her life in some shape or form. She is very proud to be the first Hart family female to enter wrestling, and says her late grandfather Stu Hart was very traditional – hence why only the male Harts wrestled until she came along.
Natalya reveals her worst injury, saying she had torn her ACL while competing in Japan, but continued to wrestle, putting on twelve matches with the torn ligament.
On romantic things their significant others have done, Nikki mentions a time Cena danced with her under the stars. Brie cites a moment Daniel set up a hotel room with candles, music and her favorite snacks. Natalya talks about Tyson Kidd‘s toast at their wedding reception.
Brie is asked by a fan about her stomach tattoos, revealing that they are bear claws. We’re assuming they’re actual bear claws, not the donut!
