Sasha Banks and Bayley haven’t forgotten that NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai chased them away from her ring just a couple of weeks ago. Banks has decided that she wants to return the favor and prove why the NXT brand was created by her and Bayley. She has challenged Shirai to a match this Wednesday.
“Who do you think you are coming out and saying that this is your NXT, Io?! Ding dong. There would be no NXT without Bayley and I. So what do you say at the Great American Bash this Wednesday me and you, one on one. Because rent’s due, booboo, and it’s time to collect.”
Shirai gave a response which prompted General Manager William Regal to make it an official match. Last week, NXT made the announcement that for the next two weeks its programming will be using the Great American Bash banner.
This officially makes three women’s match slated for the show. Other matches include a rematch between Aliyah and Rhea Ripley, but this time it will be a handicap match. Aliyah and Robert Stone vs. Ripley.
Also, there will be a number one contender’s match to determine who will face Shirai next for the NXT Women’s Title. It will be a Fatal 4-way between Mia Yim, Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, and Tegan Nox.
Sasha is also scheduled for this Monday’s RAW where she will be having a contract signing for her upcoming RAW Women’s Championship match against Asuka at Extreme Rules: The Horror Show.
