Jackie Haas is Tough Enough (Week 5): “Don’t Take My Kindness for Weakness”

Former Tough Enough champion, Jackie Haas blogs on the new series of Tough Enough. Read her insight and opinion on the series every week exclusively here at Diva Dirt.

Note from Melanie: Apologies for publishing this late!

Girls, girls, girls, come on and make me proud. I had a feeling that this week’s episode would capture the ladies finally but not nearly in the light that I would have hoped. There is no editing the weak and sorry to say it but the gal with the most guts is gone. Neither Ivelisse or Christina is strong enough to even be past the next round. Not that I am being biased but I am simply stating what I hope that everyone else is seeing. Just as Trish said many of times, you need to have such a thick skin inside and, of course, on the outside to survive in the WWE and all of pro wrestling for that matter. Especially Superstar status-wise and the two ladies remaining just don’t have that quality.

Now Christina displays more of the “pretty athleticism” but overall, I really think that she is the weaker one. Even though Ivelisse showed weakness in the physical challenge as well as in the ring, I really think that in the long haul that she would be more successful in the business. With the right guidance and a current WWE Diva to take her under her wing AND keep her head focused in the game at all times, she could be a real good heel.

Many people think that having a sister already a successful WWE Diva, Christina has one foot already in the door but how I see it, it’s a downfall. She has to upstage her sister in order to win a contract and all I see (at least from thus far in the competition) is that she reminds me of Alicia, nothing more. Yes, she’s cute and has some “moves” and even may be in better condition athletically than Ivelisse, however I think she already knows that she has the “easy way in”. Why have another of what you have – there are already two Bella Twins!

Sorry girls, not to rag on y’all but I really hope that over the next few weeks, if you are still around, that there is something more there that makes me change my opinion.

As for the rest of the show – hands down the best way to be woken up at the crack ass of dawn – a big ol’ blow horn. Many times did that happen to our season and it made me laugh right off the bat with fond memories. Great to see Booker T back in the game and really putting “Skidmarks” in his place; proud of Ryan for what he did to stay in the game with the promo war versus Jersey boy the other week but he’s just too odd ball for me to stay around, especially being in the bottom three for the third week in a row – strike three you are out is right, Stone Cold. Better luck next time Ryan…maybe he and Hawk can come up with a random YouTube hit of some sort.

Luke, well he simply comes across as way too arrogant. He will make it far though, maybe even end up with a contract if he doesn’t win it but his butt will get handed to him in the locker room. A few good pranks by the boys and “stretches” in the ring and if he doesn’t crawl out of his own ass and live on his own planet, he will be booted right out of the locker room and his life will be made too miserable for him to continue in this crazy industry. He seems to have all the potential in the world to be successful if his attitude is adjusted for good. Martin wins all the challenges yes but there is just something that tells me he won’t be the winner of Tough Enough. Yes, he will make it to the finals but I would be very surprised if he walked away with the win. My pick is still Jeremiah – spunk, guts, respect, the look, athleticism and he seems to “enjoy life.” And let’s face it – enjoying a beer after a house show is just the way it is… you have to be able to live the life, in a smart and professional way of course, but be able to get up the next morning and give 110% to all those fans for the next show.

Time for me to give 110% for my second workout of the day here… contest prep time leaves no excuses for the weak when you want results and need to deliver for an invite to Nationals (I’m too damn stubborn to settle for anything less and work way too hard)! Actually, this is the part that I enjoy, having some “me time” to sculpt my body and sweat it all out – even the minimal calories that I am allotted during this time. Michelle McCool, if you are listening out there, how’s that diet coming? :) Miss our runs together nearly a decade ago – holy sh*t did I just say decade?
