Jacqueline Featured on WWE.com’s ‘Barrier-Breaking African-Americans’

To celebrate Black History Month, WWEClassics.com has taken a look at “Barrier-breaking African-Americans”, and Diva Dirt Legacy Award winner Jacqueline is featured on the list.

The former WWE Women’s and Cruiserweight Champion was described by Jim Ross in the article as “one of, if not the most underrated female performer ever to work in the wrestling business” – a comment that we here at Diva Dirt wholeheartedly agree with.

Jackie, who has performed as a wrestler and a referee during her career, has also been a manager to various superstars, including Booker T, and the Smackdown GM said that his former Harlem Heat manager was “definitely one of a kind — a female who has done it all in every organization. She will go down in history as one of the best wrestlers that’s come along in the game, not just best black wrestlers. Jackie has set a very, very high standard.”

Jacqueline began wrestling in the late 1980’s and became WWE’s first ever African-American female champion.

The Dallas, Texas native has also wrestled for WCW and TNA in her career and was even the first woman featured on the Pro Wrestling Illustrated 500 list.
