Jade Cargill crowned as the inaugural TBS Champion

Jade Cargill becomes the first-ever TBS Champion after defeating Ruby Soho on this week’s Dynamite. Her daughter was at ringside to see her make history.

During the match, Cargill focused on Soho’s already taped-up shoulder as a target to make sure that Soho couldn’t be 100% in her striking ability. Soho spilled out to the outside after attempting an arm drag which prompted Mercedes Martinez to rush to ringside to attempt to interfere. Thunder Rosa made sure that didn’t happen and the two fought to the back.

Even after hitting her finisher the No Future kick, Soho wasn’t able to keep Cargill down and got a near fall. Cargill secured the title after delivering an avalanche Jaded to get the three count.

Later on in the show, Soho was backstage recovering from her match in a backstage interview. She was approached by the AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker and entourage. Baker said for the second time she couldn’t win the title since joining AEW. Soho says that Baker hasn’t been able to win a match without Jamie Hayter and Rebel’s help.

After reminding Baker she has never been able to beat Riho, Baker attacked Soho. Riho interjected and tried to help Soho.

On this week’s Rampage on Friday, a tag team match is booked between Baker & Hayter vs. Riho & Soho. This will be the last fight before Riho challenges Baker for the title at Battle of the Belts on Saturday, Jan. 8.

Serena Deeb had a sit-down interview with Jim Ross. Deeb and Hikaru Shida have had three incredible matches between them. Deeb took the first win but Shida has had the last two in her win column.

Ross said that Deeb seems to be taking the feud with Shida really personally. She responds by asking him if there is anyone else on her level in the locker room and that there is a reason why she is called the professor of professional wrestling. She says she has a Ph.D. in this shit.

Deeb says that she has paid enough dues for every woman in the locker room. She takes what she wants and she demanded a match with Shida next week. She is going to take 17 years of anger and frustration on her to the point that Shida will not be walking out on her own.
