AEW’s All Out is approaching on Sept. 4 and a second women’s match has finally been added to the card. The match was confirmed on this week’s Rampage.
The TBS Champion Jade Cargill will put her title and undefeated streak on the line against Athena. Athena has been targeting Cargill’s championship since she officially signed with AEW in late May.
In a backstage segment, Cargill dismissed Leila Grey and had Kiera Hogan escort her away before addressing Athena. She confirmed the match before Athena attacked her. The two women would briefly brawl before they were separated by security.
Cargill’s undefeated record is now sitting at 36-0, will Athena be the won to break the streak and win her first piece of AEW gold at All Out?
Also on the Aug. 26 episode of Rampage, there was a mixed-tag team match between Ruby Soho & Ortiz vs. Tay Melo & Sammy Guevara. Guevara would pick up the win for him and Melo after Anna Jay interfered and threw Soho into the steel steps.
The other women’s match booked for this event is a four-way bout between Toni Storm vs. Britt Baker vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Hikaru Shida to crown an interim AEW Women’s World Champion.
